Dear Keyport Garden Club Family and Friends,
I am extremely devastated to share that on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, our Keyport Garden Club President, Kim Mundrane-Tuohy, took her last breath on this earth, surrounded by the comfort and love of her family and her beloved dog, Kelsey, after a very brief and sudden illness.
Kim was highly devoted to her family (especially her grandkids, of whom she loved sharing photos), her friends, her community, and her lovable golden retriever, Kelsey. She had a truly brilliant mind, a wonderful sense of humor, and was especially devoted to volunteerism within many local Keyport organizations.
There are few lives Kim encountered that did not feel the impact of knowing her. Her smile and her eyes were luminescent, and always ready to greet someone new, as if they were old friends. She was the true definition of an extrovert, with a keen interest in knowing more about all those around her........
A true friend to so many of us.
Kim was also my personal neighbor, my friend, and we were equally mentors in non-profit leadership to one another. Her absence will be greatly felt on the corner she shared with my family, and her very, very close KGC friend, Renee Heri-Taylor.
This loss to Keyport Garden Club is absolutely unfathomable. There are no words that can even begin to express the gravity of grief that we feel at this time.
Kim loved being the President of the Garden Club, and one of her greatest annual highlights was planning the Keyport GardenWalk. On behalf of the KGC executive board, we want to let you know that her legacy will not end here with her passing to the afterlife.
We know that one of the greatest ways to honor her, is to continue the tradition that she loved most. Keyport GardenWalk will still take place this year, on June 7th and 8th, with Kim's family hosting her garden.
We are also working on other legacy projects in her memory at this time.
Kim may no longer be with us, but she has left a lifetime of legacy work for all to admire and aspire to. We thank her tremendously for her many dedicated years of service to Keyport Garden club and the Keyport GardenWalk event.
We ask that you kindly remember Kim today, by acting on a memorial act of Kindness. Help a neighbor, surprise a friend with something thoughtful, pay a kindness to a stranger, plant a flower in her honor...
Let one good thing blossom into many.🌻
May she rest in peace. 🪽❤️
With solemnity and sincerity,
Alexandra (Xan) Yanosh, KGC Vice President
